INTERESTING INFO:
From the 1976 Schreiner's Iris Lover's Catalog: One of the happiest arrivals in years in the amoena class. The number of WHOLE CLOTH and related childred are legion, yet unequaled has been the attainment of contrast of that old, old variety WABASH or BRIGHT HOUR, with their depth of velvety pansy purple colored falls and crystalline white standards, seemingly unobtainable in the WHOLE CLOTH family. This novelty has brightly contrasting pure as the driven snow white standards, with rich velvety pansy faced purple falls with juast a hairline rimmed edge of white around each fall. An excellent stem, flowers not large, average size, crisply held, well substanced with the bonus of ruffling on each petal.

Webmaster Note: The name of this cultivar is officially registered as SNOWMOUND, but the Schreiner's refer to it as two separate words, SNOW MOUND.
