INTERESTING INFO:
From the 1978 Schreiner’s Iris Lovers Catalog: Perfection of form and consistency of performance are the lasting attributes of this fine Iris. Several years ago we noted in an Illinois breeder’s garden a flamingo pink that “looked” different than the Hall-Fay line of pinks from which all modern pink breeders have worked. Finally in this seedling we have something truly different. We especially recommend Pinafore Pink for its all around performing ability. Here we at last have a flamingo pink without anemic foliage or variable performance. Its color is a warm, pleasing tone of uniform pink. This plant of stamina has good height, fine branching and stems with 7 to 9 blooms. A must if you are looking for the new and distinctive.

A "pinafore" is a child's apron that is large enough to cover most of the body.
