INTERESTING INFO:
From the 1956 Schreiner's Iris Lover's Catalog: This fresh, radiant, light hearted orchid-pink is the most feminine of Iris, reminding one of a winsome teenager flushed with pleasure as she pirouettes before an admiring family in her first formal - a diaphanous pink creation full of flounces and frills. This belle of the Iris garden will be the cynosure of all eyes. Her dawn-tinted taffeta gown is etherealized by pearly, opalescent tints infused with gold. Good in every way. May Magic adds new and lighter color not to our orchid-pink series, hitherto consisting of Lavanesque, Crispette, Orchid Ruffles and Pink Plume - all superb landscape Iris and all far more important in the garden picture that the paler flamingo pinks. Very free flowering.

Robert Schreiner reports in one of his hybridizing articles in 1958 that May Magic is one of the lightest in the Schreiner orchid-pinks.
