From the 1976 Melrose Gardens Catalog: Flesh-buff pink with an orchid spell enchanting the falls.

From the American Iris Society Bulletin for July 1974, California Comments by Keith Keppel: A strange but pleasing color. Almost a flesh pink, not deep, with a rosy-lavender flush in the falls, paling with age. Subtle enough to pass for a full self except on close examination.
