INTERESTING INFO: From the 1964 Schreiner's Iris Lover's Catalog: A spirited Burgundy-red plicata superior to any of its predecesors. High Life strikes the intricate, luxurious note of an Oriental Throne. Very exotic in the mass - so much so that the identical blooms call for a second look just to assure one that they are really iris after all and not some new species of tropical orchid. Truly a vibrant novelty for the avid collector of beauty in its more unique forms. From a combination of our red plicata line this is a flower that is extra large for a plicata.
