INTERESTING INFO:
From the 1961 Schreiner's Iris Lover's Catalog: We confess a weakness for pale shimmering lemon yellows - colors rarely seen in Irisdom but of special valu for transitional plantings between stronger hues. When, like Brightside, they are large and frothy, ivory-smooth and copiously formed, and blest with an edging of glistening lemon lace, they create a dreamy, poetic effet that gives atmosphere to an Iris planting. A clump of Brightside is like a patch of moonlight in one's garden. Most laced or crinkled Iris tend to be relatively small or rather narrow-petalled but this Iris has a huge, broad flower. In branching, too, it represents a notable advance for its type. Brightside has a luminescent effect as if full of imprisoned light. The lemon lace, actually more intensified at the edges than our picture show, adds the sparkle of thousands of scintillating facets. For an Iris a lot more entrancing than any picture can reveal, we recommend Brightside!
