INTERESTING INFO:
From the 1983 Schreiner's Iris Lover's Catalog: This extremely large blue amoena has authority and commands the respect of its stature. Like a tall solider, Brigadier is larger and fuller in size than other amoena we know. What a distinctive uniform! Nearly blue falls sharply contrast the clean white standards; spit polished and ready for inspection. From our line of blue amoena Iris including both Snow Cloud and Margarita as ancestors. Its moderately tall stems with close flowers provide a long period of bloom.
