INTERESTING INFO:
From the 1978 Schreiner’s Iris Lovers Catalog: Here is a stunning new dark as if from the depths of the black continent. Our color reproduction accurately depicts this extreme ebony-colored, indigo-black self. The beard also displays the same deep rich black tone of the silken falls. This combination creates a uniformity of color throughout which further accentuates the luxuriousness of this black beauty. In addition, this superlative ark has an extra-long bloom season because each stem has two to three branches with 8 to 9 nicely spaced buds.

The term "Swazi" refers to something or someone of Swaziland, a small country in Africa bordered by South Africa and Mozambique.
