INTERESTING INFO:
From the 1965 Schreiner's Iris Lover's Catalog: From Brass Accents x Beechleaf comes this appealing patterned blend. The name suggestion came from the golden-brown cast of California soil with the blue waterfalls pouring forth in the area where the famous gold discovery was made. These new blends have more richness in color and opulence of form than those of past years. Sutter's Falls is a very intriguing iris that will be a favorite with fanciers. It is one of the larger flowers we grow in the blend class. Two flowers on well branched stems give the effect of a stem with 3 or 4 open.
