INTERESTING INFO:
From the 2015 Schreiner's Iris Lover's Catalog: Alejandro Vargas, for 35 years, made Schreiner’s Gardens proud. He was everything you’d want in an employee – loyal and hardworking. He was everything you’d want in a man – warm, kind and fun. Late last year, Alejandro passed away. The shock is still reverberating – 35 years is a long time. This poised and composed bloom is dedicated to our Alejandro. Contrasting tones allow petals and style arms to be clearly visible, and the result is pleasing. The reverse of the falls, and zonal spots on the falls and standards enliven the overall cornflower blue. Although not tall, at 30”, this is a dramatic Iris, with good branching and 8 buds on a stem. In every bloom will be Alejandro’s great smile.
