From the 1993 Schreiner's Iris Lover's Catalog: This little trinket is colored a rich smooth shade of bright red all over. Most unique are its deeper "snugglebug" thumbprint markings of velvety maroon-black on the falls. The effect is that of a distinct bitone in red and maroon. From a sibling of Li'l Red Devil crossed with Lady in Red.
Webmaster Note: Despite the official description, Snugglebug does have an dark, electric blue beards that are tipped maroon. Note that photograph is taken from a rhizome purchased directly from Schreiner's.
