INTERESTING INFO:
From the 1972 Schreiner's Iris Lover's Catalog: Here is a dramatically stimulating red iris. This flower represents a different and closer approach to red with its silky rather than velvety textured blossom. An enhancing copper tone uniformly peeks throughout the whole flower. Its unique color, rigidly well-branched stems and good sized flowers made it both sought after and admired at the Wichita National Iris Meeting where it received 29 HC votes. It is aptly named after the "City of Lights." This dramatic beauty will enchant you.
