INTERESTING INFO: From the 1963 Schreiner’s Iris Lover's Catalog: An expansive, impressive sea-blue of medium tone. The falls flare and are very round and full. The standards are finely arched, fluted and ruffled. Richly vibrant and most imposing.
From the 1964 Melrose Gardens Catalog: Well, we may have been right. We made a prediction about what awards this iris would receive. Watch the awards list for '64! In '63 it was at the top of the Award of Merit list and ahead of the next contender by the largest number of votes that we can remember. Deserving all of this, as it is a great iris, with its wondrous flowers of medium deep sea blue, its perfect stem and brancing, and its "every-where" performance record. We are proud to have been the introducers and hope that you are among those who will be enjoying this iris for many years to come. AM'63.
