INTERESTING INFO:
From the 1976 Melrose Iris Gardens Catalog: One more with the new and exciting "halo effect." Narrow, glittery, gilt edges around all the white petals with interest-increasing flame-red beards; ruffled full flowers.

From the 1977 Mission Bell Gardens Catalog: Broad petaled chalky white witha precise pencil-thin border of gold around all petals. Bright red beards. Ruffles, great stem and branching.

From the 1978 Keith Keppel Catalog: Chalk white with thin gold rim on all petals; bright red beard. Like a jazzed up version of Bride's Halo.

From the 1981 Schreiner's Iris Lover's Catalog: A striking halo gem of bespangled purest white satin. Add to this an embellishingly precise pencil thin band of gold around each petal. Then emblazon this finery with that irradiant fiery red beard.
