From the 1976 Melrose Iris Gardens Catalog: One more with the new and exciting "halo effect." Narrow, glittery, gilt edges around all the white petals with interest-increasing flame-red beards; ruffled full flowers.

From the 1977 Mission Bell Gardens Catalog: Broad petaled chalky white witha precise pencil-thin border of gold around all petals. Bright red beards. Ruffles, great stem and branching.
