INTERESTING INFO: From the 1966 Schreiner's Iris Lover's Catalog: This noble iris is a continuation of the Prince Indigo series. Truly, here is an ennobling color bespeaking character and inspiration. Of fantastic breadth and substance resistant to wind and rain, its color is the freshest, most vivid tone of blue-violet imaginable - bluer than Prince Indigo. It has the serenity of a quiet mountain lake reflecting the cool blue-violet shadows of early evening. The light violet beard, tipped with white, lends just the right touch, like a diamond in a sea of blue.
