From the 1930 Cayeux et LeClerc Iris Catalog: A curious variety self slaty-blue, strongly scented. Height 4 feet.

This is a very interesting colored Iris and always puts on a good show in Chicago. Despite its good growing habits, Floridor was considered obsolete in the 1939 AIS Checklist.
