INTERESTING INFO:
From the 1985 Schreiner's Iris Lover's Catalog: The Sahara comes to life! This finely sanded and exquisitely tinted pilcata will win many friends and admirers. The underlying color of the falls is a soft clean yellow covered with tan dotting and plicata pencil marking. This sprinkling of the dots, as if fresh nutmeg was grated over the petals, melds with the overall wash of light tan in the standards to form a unique combination. Suggestive of the expanse and barren beauty of a sun-baked desert landscape. Fine stems, 6 to 7 buds.
