INTERESTING INFO:
From the 1979 Schreiner's Iris Lover's Catalog: Here is an impressive elegant red POST TIME derivative. Our color picture accurately shows the rich velvety red shade of this Iris, smoldering with hidden fire. This absolute self with harmonizing beards has substance, color and texture and also has commanded superlative appraisal ever since its maiden bloom. The opulent flowers are handsomely wide petaled and hold their lavishly smooth color – a feature not common in red Iris. Ideally spaced and budded stem with two or three flowers opening at once, 9 buds complement. A significant new achievement in the red Iris class, both in beauty and color.
