INTERESTING INFO:
From the 2008 Schreiner's Iris Lover's Catalog: No one color completely characterizes the subtle play of dusky pigments in Dakota Smoke. Its standards are predominantly violet with a claret infusion in their midribs. Jauntily flaring falls subtly blend gradations of magenta, violet and purple. Beards have a ghostly smoky hue. This sophisticated color combination is a prolific bloomer. It sports three to four-branched stems with triple sockets that bear 8-13 buds each.
