INTERESTING INFO:
From the 1954 Schreiner's Iris Lover's Catalog: Of ideal form and garden habit is this broadly proportioned color gem whose fluted petals and lacy edging create a lilting, billowy effect. The deep orchid color is crisp and clean and carries extremely well, adding a new note to the garden refrain. Crispette is a study Iris as well as a landscape standout. We consider both Lavenesque and Crispette invaluable landscape Iris because of the bold color note which they give to the garden.
