INTERESTING INFO: From the 1965 Schreiner's Iris Lover's Catalog: Our rose plicata has crispness and a snap that singles it out as vastly improved Memphis Lass, from which it was derived. The freshness of tone is not muted by any brown or copper nuances. Here is a splendid garden iris with handsome massive blooms and a most refreshing personality. Wonderful in the clump.
The term 'crinoline' defines any type of stiff or coarse cotton material used for interlining fabrics. The term is also used for hoopskirts.
