INTERESTING INFO:
From the 1998 Schreiner's Iris Lover's Catalog: This dusky variegata's muted color remind us of those mellow evening shades of an Indian Summer sunset. As shown in our photograph, the mellifluous sulfur yellow standards nicely complements the sonorous maroon-purple hues of the falls. Its compact flowers are not large, but each petal's feathery ruffle creates a bouncy lilt. Growth habit is extremely vigorous and bloom is exquisite with each steam yielding 7-10 buds. As an added extra, this captivating bicolor often produces two to three of these blockbuster stalks per fan.
