INTERESTING INFO:
From the 1951 Schreiner's Iris Lover's Catalog: There is no hint of copper shortage in this stunning seedling out of Bryce Canyon x Sunset Serenade. Indeed, I think it has more honest-to-goodness copperiness, more metallic brilliancy, more new-penny glitter thanany other blend I know. The handsomely-formed blooms of generous size hold their color well in the strongest sun. Copper Medallion looked even more brilliant in the Midwest in 1950 than in Oregon. Truly an outstanding new Iris, in which is concentrated the combined lustre of two famous bloodlines - Kleinsorge and Sass.
