INTERESTING INFO:
From the 1979 Schreiner's Iris Lover's Catalog: We are proud to offer this imposing yet utterly charming rose amoena with 7" to 8" flowers. Flamboyant and striking as a Scotch tartan plaid, its orchid-rose falls are clean cut and uniformly colored with absolutely no haft venation. They markedly set off the handsome white beard. This in turn ties in beautifully with the tall white standards. A most pleasing ensemble! This study in white and rose, a unique color combination, is rare indeed in the Iris family. CLANSMAN proudly displays its "colors" on a stiff three branched stem with 6 to 8 buds.
