INTERESTING INFO: From the 1982 Schreiner’s Iris Lover’s Catalog: This amoena has a strikingly different color pattern. The standards are near white, ideally upright and closed. The falls are erythrite red. A real advance towards red falls--not blue, purple or orchid. The edges of the slightly waved falls are pleasantly marked with a precise border of 1/8 inch white--the same color of the standards. Continuing its winning ways this Iris is climaxed with orange beards. A fine stem adds to the affect with three branches and 6 to 7 buds. Striking to be sure. It is most impressive!.
