INTERSTING INFO: From the 1953 Schreiner's Iris Lover's Catalog: If I may say so, our seedling field has shown some rather remarkable advances in blacks, so much so that a voltairish visitor abjured us when we get to pure black "not to go any further." In the falls of Black Castle, we have really reached almost the limit. Black Castle is not quite as tall as Storm Warning, but in its falls is even closer to jet. The orange beard is indescribably rich. For a really deep orange tone in the symphony of Iris colors, try these new blacks!
