INTERESTING INFO: From the 1979 Schreiner’s Iris Lover’s Catalog: This little gnome is a special beauty. Its personable warm garnet and rosy purple falls have one of the largest deep flashy garnet spots we have seen. Fine sized, this represents a breakthrough in that it is not a dusky or heliotrope plum shaded purple, but rather a bright flash of color making it a real beauty spot. Emphasis is on the warm side of the color spectrum. Surprisingly the rich like colored beard is a perfect match for the garnet tone of the falls.
Webmaster's Note: Despite the official description stating rosy-garnet beards, its the webmaster's personal belief that this was in error and should have been written as powder blue, tipped rosy garnet.
